- After the holiday break, Georgia Southern returns to the hardwood for the final two non-conference games of the 2013-14 campaign beginning with Saturday's game against North Carolina A&T ... The Eagles will continue on to face Campbell for the second time this season on Monday night in Buies Creek.
- Jelani Hewitt enters the North Carolina A&T game as the No. 2 ranked scorer in the Southern Conference with 20.9 ppg and ranks 23rd in scoring nationwide ... He scored 38 points earlier this season against Campbell and has twice been named SoCon Player of the Week ... He has scored in double figures 12 of 13 games this season and has gone over 20 points in scoring for seven of the 13 games this year.
- Hewitt was also named SoCon Player of the Month for November 2013, averaging 24.5 ppg in the opening month of the season.
- Tre Bussey ranks second in scoring for the Eagles and is one of the leading shooters on the team from downtown with a 40.5% mark ... Overall, he has 18.5 ppg to rank fourth in the SoCon ... He has scored over 20 points in seven of the 13 games this season.
- Mark Byington is 13-11 as a Head Coach for his career.
