- Georgia Southern improved to 2-1 on the season with a 104-50 win over Toccoa Falls ... Tre Bussey scored a career-high 29 points while the Eagles posted 100+ points for the 103rd time in program history ... Jelani Hewitt had seven steals on the night, the second-highest total in school history, one off the school record.
- Thursday's game is available on Root Sports Pittsburgh which can be seen on DirecTV channel 659 and on Dish Network on channel 428 ... Root Sports is available on local cable networks in West Virginia, eastern Ohio, western Maryland and the most markets in Pennsylvania outside Philadelphia.
- The win over Toccoa Falls was the 1,150th win in program history.
- Tonight's game against West Virginia is the third in the series with the Eagles looking for their first win. Last time out the Mountaineers defeated the Eagles 85-58 on 12-16-1982 in the second season under Frank Kerns.
- Jelani Hewitt was named SoCon Player of the Week last week after averaging 26.0 points per game in two games last week. He posted 27 points in his return to Miami against the Hurricanes and went 8-for-8 from the free throw line.
- On Thursday Georgia Southern's Angel Matias, native son of Puerto Rico, will play against his teammate from Arlington Country Day and countryman Gary Browne.
Georgia Southern begins play in the 2013 Cancun Challenge with a trip to face West Virginia in with the first of two domestic games on Thursday night. The contest starts at 7 p.m. inside the 14,000 seat West Virginia Coliseum on the banks of the Monongahela River.

For the first time in 2013-14 the Eagles will play a televised game. The 7 p.m. contest can be seen on Root Sports Pittsburgh. The channel is available within West Virginia and most of Pennsylvania on local cable outlets. The game can also be seen on DirectTV channel 659 and Dish Network channel 428.

Kyle West fills in for Chris Blair for Thursday's game on play-by-play while Frank Kerns will be alongside to provide his expert analysis. The game can be heard across the Georgia Southern Radio Network from Nelligan Sports with airtime scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
