Eagle Nation,
Basketball season is just around the corner and the Georgia Southern women's team is gearing up for a special 2013-14 campaign. But we need your help.Â
Our players are working hard to build a championship program, and to do so, we must protect OUR HOUSE. Hanner Fieldhouse can and will be a tough place for opponents to play. We will play with physicality, intensity, and pace, and our five seniors take a lot of pride in their last opportunity to compete for a conference championship. Our goal is for our opponents to leave Hanner never wanting to come back, and you can help create that atmosphere. As we take our program to new heights, your presence and enthusiastic support can be our sixth man.Â
This is our second year as a coaching staff, and our returners are much improved, have expanded their games, and have been instrumental in instilling our program's values and permeating our culture as we have added five newcomers to our squad. We have increased our size and our depth, and our late season success from a year ago has given our team the confidence and edge we need to take significant steps forward this year. As always, we appreciate your support over the years and hope you will continue to be a part of our program in 2013-14.
We suit up twelve times in Hanner this year, beginning with our Nov. 16 home opener, when we host Jacksonville State at 5:30 p.m. in the middle contest of a triple header with Eagle volleyball and men's basketball. We can guarantee that every time our team takes the floor, we will compete with pride for each other and for Eagle Nation. Just as Georgia Southern Athletics is on a journey to new heights, our women's basketball team is on a journey to become a championship program, and we need you to join the journey, and help us to GATA in Hanner Fieldhouse all season long!
Season ticket packages are available and can be ordered by calling 1-800-GSU-WINS or by visiting GSEagles.com.
Thank You,
Chris Vozab
