Rifle to Face The Citadel and Wofford in Charleston

Women's Rifle vs. The Citadel Bulldogs/Wofford Terriers

Season Series:
Saturday's meeting between The Citadel and Georgia Southern will be the first between the two programs. However, the Eagles have shot in their facility before when they faced Wofford in their season opener on Sept. 14. The Terriers won that meeting 2180-2159. GSU had three shooters post scores of 530 or more in their first collegiate competition. The Eagles will have one more visit to Charleston, S.C. on the schedule and will compete in The Citadel Invitational on Jan. 25-26.

After nearly a month off since shooting at the North Georgia Invitational, the Georgia Southern women's rifle team is back in action this weekend.
The Citadel is coming off a second place finish in the SEARC 3 meet at home on Saturday. The Bulldogs lost their only dual match of the season 4652-4434 to TCU.
Wofford is competing for the first time since Sept. 21 when they finished fourth at the SEARC 1 in Lexington, Va.

Georgia Southern (0-1) – Coach: Tim Parks
The Eagles will face The Citadel and Wofford over two days in Charleston, S.C. Kathryn Youngblood will look to continue to pace the team after posting match-high scores in both previous matches this season. Georgia Southern shot a 2133 at the North Georgia Invitational and finished third in the team competition.
The Citadel (0-1) – Coach: William Smith
The Citadel has three competitions under its belt this year and is 0-1 in dual meet action. The Bulldogs posted an air rifle mark of 2274 at the third Southeastern Air Rifle Conference meet of the season. Robert Jackson posted a team-high score of 572 and Richard Hunton and Ashten Byrne both shot a 569.
Wofford (1-0) – Coach: Randy Hall
Wofford opened the season with a close win over Georgia Southern and finished fourth in the first SEARC meet of the year at VMI. Jim Stanley shot a team-high 572 in air rifle, and Josh Mangan was second with a 562 mark.
