Eagles open the year at home on November 8th
STATESBORO, GA. – Georgia Southern Men's Basketball was picked to finish ninth in the 2013-14 SoCon Preseason Men's Basketball Coaches Poll as announced earlier this week by the league office. The Eagles were tabbed 10th by the league's media in their preseason straw poll.
Head Coach Mark Byington begins his first season at Georgia Southern on November 8th in the opening game of homecoming weekend. The contest against Columbia International starts at 7:30 p.m. inside Hanner Fieldhouse.
Elon was selected to finish first in both polls while Davidson's De'Mon Brooks was named Preseason Player of the Year by the league's coaches.
