STATESBORO, Ga. – Georgia Southern Men’s Basketball hits the midpoint of a three-game homestand on Thursday night as the Eagles host College of Charleston at Hanner Fieldhouse from 7 p.m.
Thursday’s game will be aired live for free on GSEagles.com. To access the broadcast, click on the “Watch and Listen” button on the main GSEagles.com homepage. The Georgia Southern Radio Network will provide the live call of the game across the network and online at GSEagles.com.
The Eagles (7-10, 1-3 SoCon) are fresh off a 70-57 victory over Davidson on Monday night at Hanner. The Eagles were led by 16 points by C.J. Reed to raise the senior’s scoring average to 11.5 points per game.
At halftime of Thursday’s game, Georgia Southern Athletics will honor its SoCon Champions of 2012. The Eagle Football, Softball, Women’s Soccer and Volleyball teams will be recognized for bringing home hardware in 2012.
Eric Ferguson leads the Eagles in scoring this season with 14.6 points per game. The junior dropped 14 points against Davidson to go with three blocks on the night. Marvin Baynham had a huge contest against the Wildcats, scoring 10 points as he reached double-figures for the third time this season.
Charleston (12-5, 4-1 SoCon) held on for a 73-69 win over a pesky Citadel squad on Monday night. The Cougars had four players in double figures and a double-double from Adjehi Baru as the sophomore earned SoCon Player of the Week honors. Baru ranks second third on the team with 10.4 points per game. Charleston is led by Andrew Lawrence with 13.9 points per game.
On Saturday night the Eagles face The Citadel in the final home game in the month of January. The game from Hanner Fieldhouse starts at 7 p.m.
