Willie Powers Starts Professional Career with BC Prievidza in Slovakia

STATESBORO, Ga. – Former Eagle Willie Powers III opened his professional career this week with a pair of games for BC Prievidza in Slovakia. Powers is averaging 13.0 points per game in the first two games of his professional career for the defending Slovakian League Champions.
In his first professional game, Powers earned a start for Prievidza against Nova Ves with 12 points in 26 minutes. He made four assists as Prievidza downed the third-ranked team 94-87 at home.
Last time out on January 9th, Powers scored 14 points off the bench with a game-high seven assists against Inter Bratislava. Prievidza took the 90-75 win on the road to improve to 10-9 on the season to rank fifth in the league.
