Men’s Basketball Walk-On Tryouts Scheduled for October 4th

STATESBORO, Ga. – Georgia Southern students wishing to try out for a spot on the Georgia Southern Men's Basketball team will get their opportunity on Thursday, October 4th, at 3 p.m.
Each person wishing to try out must be a current, full-time Georgia Southern student and have proof of insurance (Health Insurance through the University will not suffice because it does not cover Athletic Injury) and a physical within the last six months as well as lab results indicating sickle cell trait positive or negative. Students will also need to provide a current class schedule and transcript.
Individuals wishing to try out are encouraged to contact Men's Basketball Operations Director Erik Podell (912-478-1425) for more information.
Copies of physical evaluations, sickle cell test results as well as proof of insurance must be submitted to athletic trainer John Erwin no later than October 2nd at 5 p.m.
