GREENVILLE, S.C. - The Georgia Southern Baseball team is represented in the first ever college baseball Fan's Choice Award by senior co-captain Eric Phillips. Phillips is among 19 players up for the award that seeks to honor players that display leadership, the will to win, teamwork and integrity.
The Carrollton, Ga., native set a new school record for career hits last weekend at Wofford. Phillips is hitting a SoCon-best .388 with 22 doubles and 53 RBIs in his final Eagle campaign.
Fans can vote for Phillips by going to http://www.facebook.com/collegehomerunderby/app_430120250341197. Votes are allowed to be place once a day and the winner will be honored at the June 7th College Home Run Derby.
