STATESBORO, GA. – Georgia Southern’s November 13th trip to Charlotte will be shown live on the NBC Sports Network. Tip-off for the contest has been pushed back to 9 p.m., allowing the game to be shown on the national platform.
The game will be the first contest between Georgia Southern and Charlotte since a 2006 meeting in the NIT. GSU reached the 2012 SoCon Tournament Quarterfinals following the second-best turnaround in league history and the second-best SoCon record last season at 12-6.
The 2012 Eagles are led by junior Eric Ferguson’s 15.4 points per game a year ago. The NBA prospect has 835 career points and is poised to become the 39th member of the 1,000 point club at Georgia Southern. Ferguson leads a squad which features three returning starters and six players that averaged over 10 minutes per game last season.
