Meet the Basketball Eagles at the Statesboro Mall Saturday

STATESBORO, Ga. – The Georgia Southern men and women's basketball teams will be signing autographs at the Statesboro Mall Saturday, Oct. 20, from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Fans will have the opportunity to meet student-athletes and coaches from both programs and get signed 2012-13 schedule posters. Season tickets will be on sale at the event, and Georgia Southern apparel can be found at the Sir Shop in the mall.
Men's season tickets are $59 for general admission seats, while reserved seats in the upper level are $69 and lower-level season tickets are $109. Georgia Southern faculty and staff receive a $10 discount on season general admission and upper-level seats as well as a $20 discount on lower-level seats.
Women's basketball season tickets are $50 for the general public and $35 for GSU faculty and staff. Season tickets can be purchased by contacting the Georgia Southern Athletics Ticket office at 1-800-GSU-WINS.
The GSU men's team returns eight lettermen and three starters, including All-SoCon selection Eric Ferguson, from last year's team, which finished Southern Conference play with a 12-6 record and placed third in the league's South Division. The Eagles open the campaign at Valparaiso Nov. 9, and play their home opener Nov. 16, against Webber International.
The women's team has 11 letterwinners, including three of their top-4 scorers, and three starters back from a season ago. The Eagles open their season and home slate by hosting Florida Atlantic Nov. 9, at 8:30 p.m. in Hanner Fieldhouse.
