Victor Roache Named First Team All-American by Two Publications

STATESBORO, Ga. - Georgia Southern Baseball's Victor Roache was named First Team All-America by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and Baseball America today, June 15th.
The honor is the third such All-America selection for Roache this season. Louisville Slugger tabbed him a first team selection earlier this month. Roache was also the Southern Conference's Player of the Year after hitting .326 with 30 home runs and 84 RBIs.
The nation's leader in home runs set new Georgia Southern and Southern Conference single season home run records in the process and was twice named the SoCon's Player of the Month.
Roache helped Georgia Southern to a Southern Conference Tournament Championship and a berth in the NCAA Columbia Regional. He is currently playing summer baseball in the Cape Cod League for the Cotuit Kettleers and hitting .438 (7-for-16) with three doubles and two RBIs.
