Eagle Baseball Hosting January Camps

STATESBORO, Ga. - As the soon starts to creep closer and closer, the Georgia Southern Baseball team is hosting three camps in January to prepare local youth and high school students for the upcoming season. The Eagles will hold a six-session Spring Training Camp along with a High School Prospect Camp.

The Spring Training Camp is for grades five and up and will run from January 10th to January 26th at 6 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday night. The camp consists of six sessions and is designed to prepare players for the upcoming spring season. Attendees will benefit from practice drills focused on necessary baseball skills including: hitting, defense, pitching, baserunning and conditioning.

The High School Prospect Camp will be held on January 14th and will consist of two sessions, one for pitchers and the other for position players and two-way players. The camp starts at 9 a.m. with the pitchers, while position players report at 11 a.m. Players will benefit from the combination of instruction and competitive games.

Those wishing to attend any of Georgia Southern's Baseball Camps will need to bring all necessary baseball equipment, bring a signed waiver form and register for the camps at collegebaseballcamps.com/gsu. Further information along with the waiver form can be found on the camps website.
