Eagles Face USF at St. Pete Times Forum

STATESBORO, Ga. - Georgia Southern Men's Basketball travels to the heart of the Sunshine State for a tilt against the University of South Florida out of the Big East. The game will be played at the St. Pete Times Forum, home of the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning, while the Bulls' home arena (The Sun Dome) is renovated. Wednesday's game can be seen live on the Big East Network and ESPN3 at 7 p.m.
Georgia Southern(1-2) looks for its first win over a power conference foe since a win over South Carolina in 1992 when the Eagles won, 82-69. The Eagles narrowly missed pulling the upset over Wake Forest just a week ago, falling by nine to the Demon Deacons.
Ben Drayton III (St. Marys, Ga.) led the Eagles last year in their trip to Tampa, scoring 19 points in the game. Sophomore Eric Ferguson (Statesboro, Ga.) leads the 2011-12 Eagles in scoring with 18.7 points per game and posted a career high five steals last season at USF.
The Bulls (3-2) enter Wednesday's game on the heels of consecutive losses against Penn State and Old Dominion. Victor Rudd Jr. paces South Florida with 14.0 points per game while Ron Anderson Jr. has 7.2 rebounds per game.
The Eagles return to Statesboro before traveling to Dallas, Texas for a date with SMU. Georgia Southern takes on the Mustangs on Sunday, November 27th, at 2 p.m. CT (3 p.m. ET).
