Join Eagle Athletics for Hanner Havoc on Friday Night

STATESBORO, Ga. - Fans will get their first chance to meet the 2011-12 Georgia Southern Men's and Women's Basketball Teams on Friday night, October 21st, at Hanner Havoc beginning at 6 p.m. The event, presented by the Student Eagle Club and the Georgia Southern Athletics Foundation, allows fans to meet both the Georgia Southern Men's and Women's Basketball teams and see the teams scrimmage.
Georgia Southern University President Dr. Brooks A. Keel will speak at the event along with both basketball head coaches Rusty Cram and Charlton "C.Y." Young. There will be a three-point contest, dunk contest as well as scrimmages for both the Men's and Women's teams. The night concludes with both teams signing posters on the floor of Hanner Fieldhouse.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early for a free tailgate in the front parking lot of Hanner Fieldhouse. Food will be served at 5:30 p.m. in preparation for the 6 p.m. show inside Hanner.
Fans and Georgia Southern students who fill out an entry form are eligible to win one of several prizes. Forms must be completed and submitted by 6 p.m. the night of the event with entry forms available at the tables in the Hanner Fieldhouse main entrance. Each fan may only fill out one entry form. Winners must be present to receive their prize.
Prizes for the event include:
Chance to be a celebrity judge for the dunk contest
Chance to participate in the Pawn City/Car City Money Shot ($500 cash prize)
4 Tickets to the Men's Basketball game at Georgia State with a $100 Twisted Taco gift certificate
Two weeks of special reserved parking on the Georgia Southern campus (non-gated lots) and a VIP parking spot at Hanner for Men's and Women's Basketball games
An Apple iPad2 presented by The University Store and University Pines
