Final Softball Game of Series Cancelled

BOONE, N.C. -- The final game between Georgia Southern and Appalachian State has been cancelled due to inclement weather. Game time had originally been moved up to 11 a.m. Sunday in an attempt to beat the weather, however, rain moved in earlier than expected. Heavier rain is expected to fall throughout the day. The game will not be rescheduled.

Georgia Southern will return to play on Tuesday as the Eagles travel to Jacksonville to take on the Dolphins of Jacksonville University in a doubleheader. Game 1 is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. with Game 2 scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
