STATESBORO, Ga. - Defensive lineman Josh Gebhardt received 38.4 percent of the vote in last week's fan voting, edging out Willie Maxwell's (Jacksonville, Fla. ) 35.6 percent, to claim his first Georgia 811 "Lineman of the Week" honor.  

Gebhardt helped Georgia Southern take a 16-0 lead against South Carolina State, with a 34-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown. The Douglasville, Ga., native's presence in the trenches had three solo tackles, two recorded as tackles for loss. His four-yard interception late in the fourth quarter setup a five-play 19-yard drive for the Eagles that ended in Georgia Southern's final score of the game.
