Exhibition Game for Men's Hoops Set for Nov. 5

STATESBORO, Ga. - The Georgia Southern University Men's Basketball team will play an exhibition game on Friday, November 5th at Hanner Fieldhouse. The game with Fort Valley State will follow the Georgia Southern-The Citadel volleyball match with an approximate start time of 8:30 p.m. Admission for both the volleyball and basketball events is one dollar and all seats are general admission. The volleyball match begins at 6 p.m.
"It will be great to have a dress rehearsal for our young team," said Eagles Head Coach Charlton "C.Y." Young. "Fort Valley is a team that's going to come in and play hard and give us a good gauge on where we are at this point."
Georgia Southern, with one of the top freshmen classes in the nation, returns five players from last year's team. The Eagles open the 2010-11 season on the road at Notre Dame Friday, November 12th, before their home opener on Monday, November 15th versus Carver Bible.
