The Eagles lead the overall series against Wofford 8-6, however, the Terriers have won five of the last seven. Georgia Southern dropped a one-point decision to Wofford in overtime last season (38-37), but in 2007 the Eagles captured a 38-35 win in Spartanburg.

Georgia Southern slipped to 2-2 overall and 1-1 in the league following last weekend's 28-14 loss at 13th-ranked Elon. The Eagles are undefeated at home but the two losses on the road were both to nationally-ranked programs - #15 South Dakota State (national-leader in scoring defense) and the Phoenix (national-leader in total defense).

Sophomore Adam Urbano leads GS in rushing (73rd nationally) averaging 56 yards on the ground and 95.8 in all-purpose yards. True-freshman Jamere Valentine also ranks among the national leaders averaging 5.0 receptions (tied 53rd) and 53.8 receiving yards (95th) per game. Sophomore quarterback Lee Chapple stands third nationally with 99 pass completions and enters the game 39th averaging 201 passing yards per game.

Sophomore Adrian Mora saw his program record of 11 consecutive games kicking a field goal come to an end (no attempts at Elon), however, he continues to lead the SoCon averaging 1.5 per game (6-of-8). Mora is tied for 12th nationally in field goals and tied for 56th in scoring (6.5 ppg). Fellow sophomore Charlie Edwards leads the SoCon again this week averaging 40.8 yards per punt. He stands 27th in the nation. Seven of his 23 punts have been fair caught and he placed four inside the 20-yard line.

Senior Darrell Pasco leads the conference in both passes defended (6) and kickoff returns (27.0 ypr). Those numbers place him tied for 21st and 23rd in the nation, respectively.

Sophomore linebacker Dion DuBose leads the Eagles with 35 tackles. His 8.8 per game average stands seventh in the league and tied for 59th nationally. K.R. Snipes (career-high 10 tackles at Elon) and Brent Russell (3.0 TFL, 1 INT, 2 blocked kicks) are next tied with 23 tackles apiece.

 Wofford dropped out of the 'Top 25' rankings following a 38-9 loss at Chattanooga last Saturday. The Terriers tied the game at 7-all early in the second quarter but the Mocs rolled off 24 unanswered points and capped the game with a 51-yard fumble return for a touchdown. Mike Rucker finished with 57 yards rushing. Mitch Allen completed 7-of-14 passes for 75 yards, including one touchdown and two interceptions. Tommy Irvin and Keaton Thompson recorded 11 tackles each. UTC held Wofford to 226 total offensive yards and forced three turnovers.

Overall, Wofford (1-3 overall, 0-1 SoCon) ranks fifth nationally averaging 231 rushing yards per game. The Terriers are 36th nationally with 22 yards per kickoff return. Rucker stands 75th in rushing (54 ypg), 51st in kickoff returns (23.6) and 41st in all-purpose yards (128.5).
