Brianna Streetmon named Pitcher of the Month

STATESBORO, Ga. ? Georgia Southern Softball's Brianna Streetmon (Winder/Winder-Barrow) has been named ?Pitcher of the Month' by the Southern Conference office. The announcement came on Wednesday (June 10).
In May, Streetmon went 3-2 with a 1.38 ERA in six starts. The sophomore recorded 30 strikeouts against only 15 walks.
Along with earning the ?Pitcher of the Month' award, she also earned SoCon First Team All- Conference, SoCon Tournament ?Most Outstanding Player' and ?Pitcher of theYear' honors.
Streetmon led the Eagles to the SoCon Tournament title game. She went 2-0 during the tournament, striking out 22 batters in 29.2 innings pitched. Streetmon threw two complete games in the tournament, a shutout against Appalachian State and allowed only one unearned run in the win over Western Carolina.
Streetmon finished the season with a 17-10 record and a 1.95 ERA
