STATESBORO, Ga. -- New Georgia Southern University Men’s Basketball Coach Charlton Young has finalized the schedule for his Summer 2009 basketball camps. Historic Hanner Fieldhouse on the Georgia Southern campus will serve as the venue for two weeklong day camps and a one-day skills camp. The Day Camps, available to boys and girls 6-16 years of age, have available slots for June 15-19 and June 22-26. Both day camps are weekdays Monday through Friday with sessions running from 9 a.m. -4 p.m. for the first four days and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on the final day of camp. Coach Young and the camp staff will provide personal instruction and emphasize fundamentals, player development and essential seminars. Cost per camper is $150, which includes a daily lunch and official camp T-shirt.
The Georgia Southern Skills Camp, set for Saturday, June 27, is a one-day event featuring skills instruction and seminars. The Skills Camp runs from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Registration begins at 8:30 the morning of the camp. Rising 7th-12th grade boys are eligible to attend the skills camp at a cost of $50 per camper. All campers will receive a T-shirt and lunch will be provided. This camp now has limited availabilty.
Georgia Southern University Athletics camps are open to any and all entrants (limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender).
