Swimming & Diving Prepares for the CCSA Championships

STATESBORO, Ga. - Georgia Southern swimming & diving returns to action at the CCSA Championships in Athens, Ga.
The championships start Thursday at 10:00 a.m. with swimming trials. Diving starts at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.
The Eagles finished the regular season with a 6-8 dual meet record. They are coming off of a win over Campbell on Senior Day at the RAC (Jan. 31).
The Lady Eagles attained 10 first place finishes.

The Lady Eagles picked up their first one, two, three finish of the day in the 200 yard butterfly. Courtney McCarthy (
Georgia Southern placed fourth last season in the inaugural CCSA Championships.
Courtney Martz (Woodbine, Ga.) ranks third in the conference in the 50 yard freestyle.
The Eagles have previously defeated Radford, College of Charleston and Campbell this season.
The CCSA Championships will run through Saturday at the Gabrielsen Natatorium in Athens, Ga.
