Fuller Paces Cross Country in SoCon Championships

ELON, N.C. - The Georgia Southern cross country team led by Senior Laura Fuller (Cartersville, Ga.) finished 11th at the 2009 SoCon Championships Saturday. Fuller was the first Eagle across the line and finished 54th with her second-best time of the season, a mark of 20:04.42.
Georgia Southern's other senior, Shauntel Jennings (Stone Mountain, Ga.), recorded a season high time of 20:45.71. Jennings improved on her previous best time by more than 10 seconds and finished third for the Eagles.
Sara Curry (Lawrenceville, Ga.) was the second Eagle to cross the line, finishing with a time of 20:42.31.
Kassi Lee (Elberton, Ga.) finished a place behind Jennings with a time of 20:47.74.
Brittani Martin (Alpharetta, Ga.) recorded her third-best time of the season (20:49.02) and finished in 77th place.
Azura Robillard (Altamonte Springs, Fla.) and Heather McAllister (Cartersville, Ga.) finished back-to-back in 84th and 85th place. Robillard crossed the line first with a time of 21:04.92, and McAllister came in eight seconds behind her with a time of 21:12.92.
Morgan Jefferson (Villa Rica, Ga.) and Leah Bradley (McDonough, Ga.) wrapped up the meet for the Eagles. Jefferson finished 90th with a time of 21:27.84, and Bradley crossed the line in 94th place with a mark of 21:44.58.
