Cross Country is set to run in the 20th annual Asics Winthrop Invitational

Statesboro, Ga. - The Georgia Southern Cross Country team is set to run at the 20^th annual Asics Winthrop Invitational in Spartanburg, S.C.

Georgia Southern last participated in the Asics Winthrop Invitational during the 2005 season and placed ninth out of 15 teams.

The Eagles last ran at the Eye Opener Invitational and finished tenth.

Kassi Lee (Elberton, Ga.) led the Eagles with a time of 20:50 in the 5K event.

Lee finished the Gamecock Invitational with a season best time of 20:13.70.

Laura Fuller (Cartersville, Ga.) crossed the line second for the Eagles in both 5k events.

Fuller finished the Gamecock Invitational with a time 21:15.00 and the Eye Opener Invitational with a time of 21:22.

The 20^th annual Asics Winthrop Invitational starts Saturday at 9:00 am.
