STATESBORO, Ga. --- The Eagles hope a midweek home clash with Savannah State will put an end to a recent skid that has seen them lose four out of five games.
The single game is set to begin at 4 p.m. at Eagle Field.
Georgia Southern (29-26) is coming off a doubleheader sweep to Georgia Tech and a 2-1 series loss to Western Carolina.
Savannah State (4-28) snapped a 15-game skid Thursday against Claflin. The Tigers have allowed eight or more runs in each of their last 17 outings and 26 times total this season.
The two schools met to open the 2008 season in Savannah with the Eagles claiming 16-0 and 14-0 victories. Sophomore Kristan Glover went a combined 5-for-6 with three home runs, eight RBI and six runs. She hit two in the second game, including a grand slam.
