One of the most dynamic players not only in the Southern Conference but at the Division I FCS level... will likely to see playing time at all the offensive skill positions and on special teams... a definite candidate for the Walter Payton Award, honoring the top offensive player at the Division I FCS level... explosive speed, elusiveness and sure hands... turned in an outstanding spring season and should put up even more impressive numbers thanks to Coach Hatcher's offensive system... if able to stay healthy he will likely receive numerous postseason honors... well respected by the league's head coaches, as noted by receiving All-SoCon honors at wide receiver yet not ranking among the top 10 in any receiving category... rushed for 12 yards, completed 3-of-5 passes for 49 yards and caught three passes for 13 yards in the Blue-White game... JUNIOR (2006): Honorable Mention All-America (Don Hansen Football Gazette)... First Team All-SoCon (wide receiver by the coaches, return specialist by the media association)... Second Team All-SoCon (return specialist as voted by the coaches)... made the switch last spring back to wide receiver... tied a career-high with his second-ever punt return for a touchdown (78 yards in the finale against Central Arkansas)... set GS single-game record with an 85-yard reception that went for a touchdown at The Citadel... tied the game record with nine receptions against Elon (totaling 84 yards and a touchdown)... became the only player in Eagle history to record at least an 80-yard rush, reception, punt return and kickoff return... team-leading 33 receptions, fourth-most by an Eagle in a season... second on the squad with 368 receiving yards... caught three touchdown passes... third on the team registering 346 rushing yards, on 43 carries, for five touchdowns... averaged 8.0 yards per carry... season-high 157 yards on 21 carries at Furman... five carries for 47 yards, including a highlight-reel 39-yard reverse for a TD against Central Arkansas... team-leading 1,287 all-purpose yards, including a season-high 201 against NDSU... The 2004 Southern Conference ?Freshman of the Year', Foster has accounted for 47 TDs (30 rushing, 9 passing, 1 kickoff return, 2 punt return, 5 receiving) during his career... During his rookie year, Foster scored a touchdown five different ways: rushing (4), receiving (2), passing (1), kickoff return (1, 83 yards versus Wofford) and punt return (1, GSU record 94 yards against Appalachian State)... SOPHOMORE (2005): SoCon ?Player of the Month' in November... Second Team All-Southeast Region by the Don Hanson Football Gazette... SoCon ?Tri-Offensive Player of the Week'... set a conference record rushing for a touchdown in all 12 games, the only player in I-AA to accomplish that feat... with 1,481 yards recorded the third-most rushing yards by a quarterback in NCAA I-FCS history... joined with Jermaine Austin to be the sixth set of teammates in SoCon history to each rush for 1,000 yards, in fact setting a league record for most combined rushing yards (3,027)... had six consecutive 100-yard rushing games to start the season, tied for the eighth-longest streak in SoCon history... led the Eagle offense to its fifth straight I-FCS rushing title, averaging 387 yards on the ground... team ranked sixth nationally in scoring offense (38 ppg) and eighth in passing efficiency and total offense... individually he ranked 10th in rushing (123.4 ypg), 55th in total offense, third in scoring (126 points) and 34th in all-purpose yards... had 14 rushes of 20 or more yards... finished fifth among the SoCon season ?Top 10' with 21 rushing TDs and was third among the season SoCon leaders in rushing TDs by a quarterback... career-highs of 33 attempts and 191 rushing yards in the win over top-ranked Furman... also completed 3-of-7 passes for 80 yards that game... opened his collegiate career with 142 yards and two TDs in the win over Northeastern... 108 yards and a touchdown versus McNeese State... followed that with 121 yards and a score at Wofford... chalked up three TDs on 134 yards against Chattanooga... at Elon rushed for 129 yards and two scores while throwing a 49-yard TD pass... against Western Carolina had 149 rushing yards and two TDs, an 11-yard reception and completed 3-of-4 passes for 67 yards and two scores... lowest rushing output was 54 yards in the loss at Appalachian State... had only 76 yards against The Citadel but threw for 123 yards and a score... rolled up the most offensive yards at South Dakota State, recording 178 rushing yards and three scores while throwing for another 131 yards... had only 48 rushing yards in limited action against Morehead State but still scored twice and threw for two more TDs... game-high 151 rushing yards and two TDs in the playoff loss at Texas State, while completing 3-of-5 passes for 135 yards and two more TDs... went seven straight games without throwing an interception... his first two picks were on desperation plays at the end of the half... he accounted for a career-high four TDs against Western then in consecutive games against Morehead State and Texas State... showed great explosiveness during the 2005 Blue-White game scoring on two long runs: 52 and 23 yards... racked up 112 yards on 12 carries... was 4-for-7 passing for 21 yards and an interception...
