Cross Country Tabbed 10th in Preseason SoCon Poll

SPARTANBURG, S.C. ? The Georgia Southern cross country team was selected 10th in the preseason Southern Conference coaches' poll released on Tuesday.
Chattanooga was picked to repeat as they return the core of last year's conference championship team. The Mocs received eight first place votes for a total of 97 points. Davidson got three first place votes to tally 90 points and a second place preseason ranking.
The Eagles received 20 points. Georgia Southern finished 10th last season at the SoCon Championships.
The new season begins Friday, August 31 at the Gamecock Invitational in Columbia, South Carolina.
