Men?s Basketball Ranked in Mid-Major Poll

STATESBORO, Ga. --- Georgia Southern has debuted at No. 20 in the latest CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Poll released Monday.
The Eagles, holders of a six-game winning streak, are one of two Southern Conference teams listed. Davidson is ranked No. 8 with a 3-3 record.
Butler tops the rankings, garnering 30 of 31 first-place votes. Gonzaga is second, followed by St. Mary's, Creighton and George Mason.
The Missouri Valley Conference has five teams listed, two more than the Colonial Athletic Association.
The Mid-Major Poll is made up of teams from the following conferences: America East, Atlantic Sun, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, Colonial, Horizon, Independents, Ivy, Metro Atlantic, Mid-American, Mid-Eastern, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, Southern, Southland, Southwestern, Summit League, Sun Belt, West Coast.
