Swimming & Diving Defeats Campbell and Howard

BUIES CREEK, N.C. ? The Georgia Southern swimming & diving team was victorious in Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association (CCSA) action on Saturday defeating Howard and Campbell in Buies Creek, N.C.
The Eagles (4-1, 3-1) defeated Campbell 133.50-70.50 and also beat Howard 157-41.
Freshman Ali Campbell (Alberta, Canada) continued her dominance winning the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 10:41.93. She was also victorious in the 100 yard backstroke finishing in 1:02.45.
Eagles junior Heather Jones (Macon, Ga.) and sophomore Courtney Martz (Woodbine, Ga.) were both victorious on the evening taking titles in the 200 freestyle and 200 IM respectively.
Georgia Southern dominated the meet earning victories in the 200 yard medley relay as well as the 200 freestyle relay.
The Eagles diving team did not compete on Saturday, because Campbell does not field a diving team.
GSU returns to action Friday, November 16 at the Davidson Invitational in Davidson, N.C.
