Cole Eakin joined the Georgia Southern sports medicine staff in March of 2025, primarily covering the women's soccer and men's tennis teams. Prior to joining Georgia Southern, Eakin worked as an intern athletic trainer for two years with Florida State football.
A native of Estacada, Oregon, Eakin graduated with his Master's of Athletic Training from Oregon State University in 2023, where he primarily worked with football, men's basketball and softball. Prior to graduate school, Eakin graduated with honors from Portland State University with his Bachelor's in Applied Health and Fitness.
Eakin is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, and is licensed in the state of Georgia. He also earned his Corrective Exercise Specialist certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
