Caitlyn Griffin serves as the primary media relations contact for Georgia Southern’s softball and women’s track and field programs as well as the APEX program. She also supports the Eagles football team as a secondary media relations contact.
Griffin earned her bachelor’s degree from Auburn University, majoring in journalism, sport production with a minor in sport coaching. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Sport Management at Georgia Southern.
While on the Plains, Griffin spent two years as a sportswriter for The Auburn Plainsman, the student-run newspaper, covering a variety of athletic programs. During her senior year, she interned with Auburn Athletics’ communications department, assisting sports information directors with media relations, recording live stats and social media coverage for volleyball, football, tennis, and baseball. She supported game-day operations, compiled official stats, coordinated media interviews, and created digital content to enhance fan engagement across multiple platforms.
In addition to her collegiate experience, Griffin worked three seasons on the part-time production crew for Huntsville City FC during the club’s inaugural seasons (2023–2025). She also gained valuable marketing experience as an intern with the Huntsville Havoc hockey team in 2022.
