Anel Lilic

Anel Lilic will serve as the assistant coach of the women’s soccer program at Georgia Southern. 

Anel comes to Southern with an extensive coaching and playing background. Most recently, Anel served as head coach at Flowery Branch High School, working with the girls’ soccer program. In his two year tenure, the Lady Falcons were 41-4-2 and reached the state semi-final and state championship. Anel also served as a head coach for several age groups on the boys side at Gwinnett Soccer Academy (GSA) and is a goalkeeper coach with the Olympic Development Program (ODP). Collegiately, Anel worked at the University of North Georgia as a graduate assistant and volunteer assistant with men’s soccer from 2013-2018. 

Lilic moved to Georgia from Sarajevo, Bosnia. He played collegiate soccer at Emmanuel College where he received All-Region Honors. 

Lilic currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife Edita.
