Junior (2014-2015): Swam lifetime bests in 200 IM (2:05.73) to place 16th, 100 Fly (56.90) to place 13th, and 100 Free (52.50) to place 20th at CCSA Championship.

Sophomore (2013-14): Part of school record-setting 800-Free Relay set during 2014 CCSA Championships... notched lifetime best times in the 200 Free (1:53.44) and 200 Back (2:06.50). 

Freshman (2012-13): Placed 14^th in the 200 IM with a lifetime best time of 2:07.84 at CCSA Championships…also swam lifetime bests in the 100 Back (58.73) and 200 Back (2:06.74)…Earned Dean’s List distinction for Spring semester.

Prep: Earned four letters for coach Mike Ahrens at Bettendorf High School... Swam club for Lane Four Aquatics and coach Demian Werner... 2011-12 District Swimmer of the Year; also named Mississippi Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Year and first-team All-Metro... Four-time high school state qualifier and placer from 2008-11.

Personal: Born May 17, 1994, in Miami, Fla.... Full name is Rebecca May Alves... The daughter of Ilidio and Valerie Alves... Has an older brother, Jonathan, and a younger sister, Elizabeth... Jonathan swims at Pacific... Plays the piano... Will be getting her swimming coaching license this year... Chose Georgia Southern because it was the best fit both academically and athletically; likes having over 100 majors to choose from... Loves any food with the combination of peanut butter and chocolate... Loves to bake... Admires people who are honest, good-hearted and hardworking.

Major: Marketing with a minor in Spanish.
