Dani Price

Dani Price begins her second season as an assistant coach for Georgia Southern softball in 2020-21.

Price works with the Georgia Southern pitching staff, and her efforts during the truncated 2020 season did not go unnoticed as the Eagles sported the top ERA in NCAA Division I after the first two weeks of the season. The squad finished the shortened season with a 2.93 team ERA, the lowest for Georgia Southern in the Sun Belt era.

Price most recently worked at her alma mater, McNeese State, where she served as an assistant coach for two seasons from 2018-19. She worked with both hitters and pitchers both seasons, but concentrated on pitching during the 2019 season, helping the Cowgirls lower their ERA a full point from the previous season (2.53 in 2019 from 3.56 in 2018).

Prior to McNeese State, Price served four years on the Baylor softball staff from 2014-17. During her time in Waco, the Bears appeared in four NCAA Regional Tournaments, and the 2014 and 2017 College World Series. She spent the 2014 season as a student manager before being promoted to volunteer assistant, where she spent the last three years working primarily with outfielders in addition to other coaching duties.

A four-year standout at McNeese State, Price played for the Cowgirls from 2008-12, collecting eight home runs and 89 RBI over her four seasons. She  earned a spot on the Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll four times, was a 2010 All-Southland Conference honorable mention selection and was named to the 2010 Southland Conference All-Academic Team. Price graduated with her Bachelor's of Science degree in health and human performance in 2013 and received her Master of Divinity degree in 2017 from the George W. Truett Theological Seminary at Baylor University.
