Georgia Southern University Athletics

Samir Tewari joined the Georgia Southern men’s tennis program as a volunteer assistant coach beginning in the 2022-2023 season.

Tewari arrives in Statesboro from Methodist University, where he was a student-athlete that played tennis all four years. He earned a bachelor's degree in Sports Management with a minor in Professional Tennis Management. Tewari was named a scholar athlete every year at MU and helped out at various local events, such as the Winston-Salem Open.

Tewari comes with a wealth of professional experience, having helped at several camps over the years, such as the Indianapolis Community Tennis Program, the Pearson Automotive Tennis Club, and the Van Der Meer Tennis Camp.

A native of Carmel, Indiana, Tewari currently resides in Statesboro. He is currently working on a masters degree in Sport Management, and is expected to graduate in July 2024.
