2018-19 Sun Belt Conference Academic Honor Roll

REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2018): Played in and started 23 games… Started 21 games at designated hitter and two in the outfield… Missed 33 games due to injury between February 17 and April 17… Hit .233/.330/.349… Recorded four doubles and two home runs… Drove in 12 runs while scoring 14.

REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2017): Played in 51 games with 47 starts in debut season with the Eagles… Hit .291/.367/.508 with 22 of his 55 hits going for extra bases… Scored 35 runs while driving in 43… Legged out 12 doubles and one triple… Ranked second on the team with nine home runs... Sun Belt Commissioner's List.

SOPHOMORE (2016): Redshirted while attending Georgia Southern as a student… Joined the team in the Fall of 2017 via walk-on tryouts.

FRESHMAN (at ST. JOHNS RIVER CC)(2015): Played the 2015 season at St. Johns River State College before transferring to Georgia Southern.

PREP: Played four years at North Cobb High School for coach Tom Callaham, earning all-state honors as a senior.

PERSONAL: Born Tyler Patrick Martin on September 26, 1995 in Acworth, Georgia... Son of Jamita and Tim Martin... Has two siblings, TJ and Travis.
