2024-25 AT NORTHERN ILLINOIS
• Played in 27 games for the Huskies, starting 14, scoring 5.4 points and 2.4 rebounds in 20.9 minutes per game
• Shot at a 36.8 percent clip from the field and 34.8 percent (39-112) from beyond the three-point line
• Scored in double digits six times, with four of those performances coming in the final seven games of the season
• In third start of the campaign, scored 13 points and grabbed six boards against Miami (OH) (Jan. 14)
• Knocked down four threes and scored 14 points at Ball State (Feb. 15)
• Notched a career-high 17 points on 6-7 shooting, knocking down a career-best five threes against Eastern Michigan (Feb. 22)
• Neared a double-double in 39 minutes at Western Michigan, scoring ten points and a career-best eight rebounds (Mar. 1)

BACKGROUND
• Born in Sofia, Bulgaria, but moved outside of Chicago when he was eight years old
• Played under Kevin Katovich at Rolling Meadows in Illinois, where he was all-conference and all-area for the Mustangs during his senior season after averaging 13 points and five rebounds per game
• Won a conference and regional championship and was named to two all-tournament teams his senior year
• Played for Full Package Athletics on the club circuit
• Son of Iveta Sotirova and Tsvetan Sotirov
• Sister, Pamela Decheva, played at South Carolina and Winthrop
• Grandmother, Vanya Voynova, is in the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame (2001) and FIBA Hall of Fame (2007). She collected one gold, three silver and two bronze medals at the European Championships as a member of Bulgarian national teams in the 1950s and also helped Bulgaria claim a bronze medal at the 1964 World Championships
