2023-24 SEASON
• Appeared in 24 games, starting two, averaging 5.3 points and 1.1 rebounds
• Shot 38 percent from the floor and 32.3 percent from beyond the three-point line, was an 81 percent free-throw shooter
• Scored in double figures seven times
• Scored a career-high 17 points against East Carolina on 5-7 shooting, also grabbing three boards (Nov. 20)
• Also scored 13 against Northeastern on Nov. 21, averaging 10 ppg in the TowneBank Holiday Classic
• Led Eagles with 13 points at no. 12 Tennessee (Dec. 12)
• Made a career-best four threes, scoring 12 against Southern Miss (Dec. 30)
• Sunk a career-high six field goals, scoring 15 at South Alabama in a season-high 27 minutes (Feb. 7)

2022-23 SEASON
• Played in 18 contests and averaged 2.4 points per game
• Shot 71 percent from the free-throw line
• Scored a season-high 10 points at Louisiana (1/28)
• Posted a career-high five rebounds vs. James Madison (2/9)
• Posted a season-high four assists vs. Oglethorpe (11/26).

2021-22 SEASON:
• Played in four games
• Made 3 of 4 from the field with a 3-pointer and tallied seven points and three rebounds.

Prep: Ranked as a Top-200 player and the 16th-best combo guard nationally by 247 sports, as well as one of the top-10 player in the state of Georgia by Hoopseen • Named to McDonald’s All-America nominee list • Averaged 21.4 points and 4.8 rebounds a game as a senior; named first-team all-region and a GACA North/South All-Star Game participant • Averaged 21.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists as a junior while leading Mitchell County to a 19-6 record and the A Sweet 16. Harris was named first-team all-region, was an all-state nominee and McDonald's All-American nominee and selected to compete in the 2020 GACA North/South All Star Game. 

Personal: Born Derrick Dewayne Harris Jr. April 8, 2003, in Camilla, Georgia • The son of Dontressia Williams and Derrick Harris Sr. • Has four siblings – De’Ericka, his twin sister, Destiny, La’Donna and Derrion • Derrick Sr. is the head coach of the girls basketball program at Westwood High School in Camilla • Coach Harris has won three Georgia High School State Championships (2018, 2019, 2020) while at Westwood, and De'Ericka has been a member of each of those championship teams.

Major: Plans to major in business management.
