2018-19: Played in all 13 games … A second-team All-American as named by Chris Sailer Kicking … A first-team All-Sun Belt selection by The Sun Belt, Southern Pigskin, Pro Football Focus and Phil Steele … A semifinalist for the Lou Groza Award … Tied the school record with 19 field goals on the season, including 10 of 40 yards or longer … Was 45-for-45 on PATs and threw a two-point conversion … Punted three times for an average of 47.0 yards … Had a long of 58 yards … Had 76 kickoffs, 52 of which went for touchbacks … Also had six tackles on kickoff coverage … Had eight games with two more made field goals … Hit a 50-yard field goal against UMass … Was named the Sun Belt Conference Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance against New Mexico State … Hit two field goals, six PATs and had seven touchbacks in that game … Lifted the Eagles to a 23-21 Camellia Bowl win with a 40-yard field goal as the horn sound sounded … Also had a 50-yard field goal to end the first half and a 32-yarder in the fourth quarter … Named to the AP All-Bowl Team for his performance … Made the Dean’s List in the fall for posting above a 3.5 GPA … Made the Honor Roll in the spring for posting above a 3.0 GPA.

2017-18: A second-team All-Sun Belt selection … Started all 12 games as the kickoff specialist and main placekicker … Was on the field for a total of 103 special teams snaps … Went 15 for 19 on field goals on the season, with nine of them being 40 yards or longer … Kicked a season-long 48-yard field goal against Georgia State … Had a 61-yard punt against South Alabama … Had 54 kickoffs with 46 touchbacks … Only missed one PAT on the season … . Had single assisted tackles against Auburn and Indiana … Made the Honor Roll both semesters.

2016-17: Started all 12 games for the Eagles as the kickoff specialist … Played 76 total special teams plays … Had 66 kickoffs with 45 touchbacks … Handled the kicking duties in the opener against Savannah State, going 6 for 7 on PATs … Made the Dean’s List in the spring … Named to the Sun Belt Conference’s Academic Honor Roll for maintaining a 3.0-3.49 GPA for the year.

2015-16: Redshirted … Dressed for every home game, but did not play … Made the Dean’s List in the fall … Connected on a 41-yard field goal in the Spring Game … Made the school’s Honor Roll in the spring … Named to the 2015-16 Sun Belt Conference Commissioner’s List for maintaining a 3.50 GPA or higher.

HIGH SCHOOL: Named all-state and All-Region 4-4A at kicker for Dutch Fork High School … Earned Chris Sailer Award for High School Kicker of the Year … Converted 239 of 249 (.959) career extra points with a 28-of-33 mark in field goal attempts … Made 74 extra points as a junior and 84 as a senior … Also lettered in soccer.

PERSONAL: Born Tyler Royce Bass on February 14 in Columbia, SC … Son of Ron and Kathy Bass … Has a younger sister, Abby.
