2020-21 - Sun Belt Conference Academic Honor Roll

2022-23: Did not see any game action … Made the Honor Roll in the fall.

2021-22: Played in five games … Played 50 total snaps on defense … Had three tackles on the season … Saw his first action of the season at Arkansas, posting three tackles … Was on the field for 17 defensive snaps against Arkansas State … Played nine defensive snaps at South Alabama … Played five snaps against Georgia State and six in the win at Texas State.

2020-21: Was enrolled in school but was not with the program … Opted out for the season … Returned to the team in January … Named to the 2020-21 Sun Belt Conference Academic Honor Roll for maintaining a 3.00-3.49 GPA.

2019-20: Played in two games, but was still able to redshirt … Saw action on nine defensive snaps … Had one tackle, which was a sack … Made his collegiate debut against ULM, playing three defensive snaps late … Had a sack against Georgia State … Made the Honor Roll in the fall and spring.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played at East Duplin High for Coach Battle Holley … Named first-team all-state by the Associated Press, all-area and all-conference as a senior … Helped lead his team to a state title as a senior, recording 10 tackles, including three for loss, in the championship game … Had 107 tackles in his final season, including 35 for loss and seven sacks … Just the third player in his school’s history to be invited to the Shrine Bowl … Blocked four kicks and had three forced fumbles … As a junior, had 111 total tackles, including 43 for loss and 10 sacks, to go along four blocked punts, one blocked PAT, one fumble recovery and two forced fumbles … Named first-team all-area and all-conference as a junior.

PERSONAL: Born Amaru Kysheam Herring on December 21 … Son of Ayasha and Michel Herring … Has three siblings: Lyonna, Shaun and Desmond.
