Biography

2020-21: Played in six games, starting one … Saw action on 105 total snaps (84 on defense, 21 on special teams) … Posted eight tackles and a pass break up … Played 60 total snaps in the opener against Campbell, picking up three snaps … Got the start against Louisiana, playing 10 snaps before leaving with an injury … Missed the next three games … Did not play against South Alabama and Troy, but was cleared for action … Had a tackle against Texas State … Played five special teams snaps at Georgia State … Played five snaps on special teams against App State … Had two tackles against Louisiana Tech in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl.

2019-20: Played in 11 games for Duke … Had three tackles on the season … Scooped a blocked punt and returned it 14 yards for a touchdown against Georgia Tech … Had three kickoffs returns for 26 yards … Graduated and transferred to Georgia Southern as a graduate transfer.

2018-19: Played in all 13 games for the Blue Devils … Received the Duke Bill Keziah Award as the team’s top special teams player … Recorded eight tackles along with one caused fumble and two PBUs … Tied for the team lead with seven special teams tackles and paced the squad with five stops on punt return coverage … Carded 2+ tackles twice with a season-high three stops against Virginia … Tallied two PBUs versus Temple in the Walk-On’s Independence Bowl as Duke captured its third consecutive bowl crown … The two PBUs are tied for the second most in a bowl game in Blue Devil history … Caused one fumble versus Virginia Tech … Was on the field for 194 snaps.

2017-18: Played in four games for Duke … Saw action against N.C. Central, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech and Northern Illinois … Recorded one tackle against N.C. Central … Was on the field for 20 total snaps.

2016-17: Attended Duke … Did not see game action while recovering from surgery performed on September 2, 2016, to address a left foot fracture … Was redshirted.

HIGH SCHOOL: A three-year letterman at Sandy Creek High School under head coach Chip Walker … A three-star prospect according to ESPN.com, Rivals.com, 247Sports.com and Scout.com … Was rated as the No. 47 cornerback in the country by ESPN.com … An Atlanta Journal-Constitution first-team all-state selection as a defensive back as well as a first-team all-state Georgia Sports Writers Association (GSWA) Class AAAA All-State honoree following his senior season … Southside All-Metro Team selection by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Fayette County Player of the Year by the Fayette County News and the Southern Crescent Co-Defensive Player of the Year as a senior … Also received the AAAA Region 5 Ironman Award, an honor presented to the best two-way player … During his senior year, registered 32 tackles, seven INTs and eight PBUs … Ranked tied for first in the region with seven interceptions … Returned seven kickoffs for 195 yards and nine punts for 176 yards … Helped the Patriots to a 9-3 record and a trip to the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) AAAA playoffs … As a junior, carded 58 tackles, six INTs to tie for the most in the state, three PBUs and four caused fumbles … Earned GSWA second-team all-state and first-team All-Region 5-AAAA accolades … Helped the Patriots to an 11-2 overall record … Recorded 16 tackles during sophomore campaign as the Patriots went 11-1-1 and with lone defeat coming in the GHSA AAAA quarterfinals … Also lettered in basketball.
