HIGH SCHOOL: Competed for four years under coach Edward Ford at Andrew Jackson High School • Earned two varsity letters in track and field • Three-year state championship qualifier and medalist • Two-time Gateway Conference honoree • Senior season bests include 59.49 in the 400m and 2:25.61 in the 800m • School record holder in the 400m (57.36) and 800m (2:24.55).


PERSONAL: Born Jayla Michelle Daise on April 22, 2007, in Camp Lejeune, N.C. • Daughter of Dorothy and Greg Daise.
