Before Georgia Southern: Averaged 8.4 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 22.4 minutes a game last season at Temple • Netted a season-high 27 points on 8 of 14 shooting vs. SMU (2/16) • Began his collegiate career at Wisconsin before spending the last three seasons at Temple • Averaged 17 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals per game at St. Petersburg High School, helping the Green Devils to a record of 24-6 • Led his high school teams to three state semifinals • Named first-team All-Pinellas County and earned Team Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2017-18.

Personal: Born Oct. 10, in Fairfax, Virginia • The son of Rod and Cheryl Strickland • Rod was a first-team All-American at DePaul (1985-88) and spent 17 seasons playing in the NBA for nine teams from 1988-2005 • He is in his first season as the head coach at Long Island University • Brother, Terell, plays basketball at James Madison • Has two sisters, Torin and Tanner.

Major: Working towards his master’s degree in applied economics.
