Sun Belt Player of the Week (3/10/2026)
REDSHIRT SENIOR (2026): Was the only Eagle to start in all 56 games this season ... Tied for 4th in doubles (19), tied for 6th in hits (73) and 8th in OPS (.996) ... McCoy also leads the Southern squad in runs (49), hits, doubles, total bases and is top-three in every other offensive category ... McCoy was also the only Eagle to start in every contest this year ... The senior started over 25 games in both the outfield and first base, while also making three appearances on the mound in 2026 (including two in conference play) ... His bat woke up against USC Upstate when he had two hits in each game of the series before he exploded for back-to-back four-hit outings in the final two games against Tennessee Tech on March 7-8th ... On the two games, McCoy also had five RBIs in each while mashing two doubles and three homers, en route to earning Sun Belt Player of the Week honors ... In his first ever Sun Belt series, McCoy had two hits in every game of the series against James Madison, also picking up RBIs in each game ... The hot streak stayed for the next two games, giving him five straight multi-hit games ... In the final game against Marshall on March 22nd, he went a perfect 5-5 with four RBIs, a double and home run ... He also made a national statement on April 14th at Georgia Tech by going a perfect 4-4 with a double to boot.
KENTUCKY (2022-2025): Redshirted his first season in Lexington ... Made 79 starts across his sophomore and junior seasons ... Played in 47 games in 2025, having a career-high average of .286 ... Also had a .448 OBP last season with a .429 SLG ... Had 22 hits on the year with five doubles, two home runs and 14 RBIs ... Was named to the 2025 Clemson All-Regional Team ... Went 2-2 against USC-Upstate in the NCAA Tournament, helping them to a 7-3 victory ... Went 1-2 against Vanderbilt on May 16th, 2025 with a home runs and three RBIs ...
