Cody Wofford enters his second season at Georgia Southern in 2020.
Wofford served as the Eagles’ Volunteer Assistant Coach in 2019, helping the program to post a 35-24 overall record and claim Georgia Southern’s first Sun Belt East Division Championship.
Wofford came to Statesboro following two seasons in the Sun Belt as a student assistant coach at South Alabama. With the Jaguars, Wofford threw batting practice and coached first base for the Jaguars, helping them to a Sun Belt Tournament Championship in 2017.
As a player, Wofford started for two seasons at Western Kentucky. Playing shortstop, Cody hit nine home runs in two seasons and was part of the Hilltopper team that defeated No. 4 Vanderbilt in 2014.
Cody graduated from Western Kentucky in 2016, earning his degree in interdisciplinary studies. He is a native of McDonough, Georgia.
