APEX Hosts Welcome Back Event On Sunday

Student-athletes celebrate the start of the 2025-26 athletic and academic year at Splash in the Boro
STATESBORO - Georgia Southern will welcome back its student-athletes, coaches and staff and celebrate the beginning of the 2025-26 academic and athletic year with an event on Sunday at Statesboro's Splash in the 'Boro water park.
Sponsored by the Georgia Southern APEX Program, the event has become a Fall tradition to help ring in the new year. Splash in the 'Boro will welcome in the Eagle student-athletes at 6:30 p.m. and the event will last until 8:30 p.m. Food will be provided and all student-athletes will receive a t-shirt.
The Splash in the 'Boro Welcome Back Event is part of the school's APEX (Athletes Preparing for Employment Experiences) program. The APEX program is designed to help prepare Georgia Southern student-athletes for the ultimate challenge after their playing careers- life.
