BOONE, N.C. — Georgia Southern lost to App State 3-1 (28-30, 17-25, 25-23, 17-25) on Thursday at Holmes Convocation Center. The Eagles finished without a service ace and committed 13 service errors, while App State recorded 10 aces. The loss on Thursday snaps an eight-match winning streak for the Eagles, while also ending the consecutive sets won at 19 straight.Â

Reagan Barth led the Eagles with 15 kills and 15.5 points while adding 15 digs. Lexi Duffy finished with 31 assists, 10 digs and two block assists. Alex Myers posted nine kills on a .296 hitting percentage and recorded a team-high five total blocks. Maddie Cugino collected 15 digs.

First Set
- The opening stretch stayed tight before the Eagles moved ahead 11-8 behind a Reagan Barth kill and two App State attack errors.
- After App State went back in front 15-14, the Eagles won five straight points, using blocks involving Sam Bowron, Lexi Duffy and Alex Myers before kills from Barth and Myers made it 19-15.
- App State answered from 23-20 down, tying the set at 23-23 with a MeMe Davis ace and kills from Bella Hutchens and Amelia Mancino.
