STATESBORO – Georgia Southern softball is scheduled for its last home conference series this weekend against Marshall beginning on Friday at 6pm at Beautiful Eagle Field.
Game two is set for Saturday at 3 p.m. before the series wraps up on Sunday at noon. All three games are scheduled to be streamed on ESPN+.
LAST TIME OUT
Georgia Southern dropped its first series of the season to ULM at ULM Softball Complex. The Eagles were swept in the series, dropping three close contests. Thursday and Saturday were defensive battles as ULM took those games, 1-0 and 2-1. In game one, ULM would just need its run in the bottom of the first on an RBI single to take the opener. The Eagles would go on to leave seven runners on base and were held to 0-for-2 with runners on third and less than two outs. The offenses exploded in game two as the Eagles recorded six runs on nine hits but the Warhawks tallied 9 runs on 12 hits. Georgia Southern would drop its fourth straight contest, 2-1, after scoring first in the opening frame.
SENIOR SATURDAY
Georgia Southern will honor three seniors on Saturday including Gracie Bellard, Morgan Kendrick, and Faith Barth. Senior Day festivities will take place before first pitch at Beautiful Eagle Field. Bellard will graduate in the fall with her bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies while Kendrick and Barth will graduate in May with their bachelor's degree in sport management.

KELL YEAH
Brooke Kell led the offense for the second straight series in the eighth spot going 2-for-6 on the weekend for a .333 batting average.
HAVE A LITTLE FAITH
Faith Barth continues to lead the Georgia Southern offense posting a .333 batting average including eight doubles, one homer, and 23 RBI. She boasts a team-high on base percentage (.423) and second highest slugging percentage (.425). Over the weekend, Barth batted .333 going 3-for-9 with a double, RBI, and run scored.
