LEXINGTON, Ky. - Georgia Southern shot a 2,333 smallbore on the first day of the NCAA Rifle Championships, held inside Historic Memorial Coliseum and sits in a tie for fifth place heading into the second day of action.
The Eagles are tied with Ole Miss and are just two points behind TCU for fourth place. Top-ranked Alaska Fairbanks leads Kentucky and West Virginia by one point and four points, respectively.
Emme Walrath and Tori Watts led the way with a pair of 586s. Emma Pohlmann shot a 581, followed by Bremen Butler (580) and Ella Goldfaden (573).
