The Georgia Southern rifle team competes in 3-position smallbore rifle events, where athletes shoot from prone, standing, and kneeling positions. Under the leadership of head coach Soren Butler, the team has seen impressive growth, achieving its highest preseason ranking in 2025 and finishing 5th overall at the NCAA Championship.
